Creating a character
If you'd like to take part in the game, Lee and Josh are currently looking for new Playing Characers.
Playing Characters (or PCs) are entities in the Realm which, while still moved and directly controlled by one of the Masters, are representative of real people who invent and determine the attempted actions and drives of that entity.
If you're interested, there are a few things that need to be decided for your character:
Patron:
Essentially, who do you wish to "animate" your character in the Realm. If you would like Lee to animate your character, he when do so every even numbered turn. Likewise, if you choose Josh, he will animate your character on every odd numbered turn.
Starting Condition:
Every PC begins with a total of ANY five items, skills, and/or attributes. Items means ANY item you wish to start with, no matter how possible or impossible, practical or nonsensical. Skills means ANY ability, profecency, etc that you would like your character to begin with. Attributes are ANY attribute of the character's body, form, essence, mind, etc that you wish to have at the begining.
These five things will determine other things about your character, such as fighting ability (in gnomes), how many steps you can take each turn, starting funds, and as well as other things which you might or might not expect.
Also keep in mind, raw physical force or power don't necessarily mean anything in the Realm, as not everything you will attempt will turn out as you think.
Starting Location:
Is there anywhere you'd like to start on the map in particular? (This won't necessarily determine where you begin, but it is taken for consideration).
Behaviors/Priorities:
If your patron happens to take his turn before you can register your attempted actions for that turn, its helpful to have a few general behaviors and priorities set for your character. For example, you can set your character's behavior to do things such as working the goblin mine to earn extra money or hunting down gnomes. Or it can be a situational behavior, "If attacked, run away" for example. You can also set a priority behavior or a goal that your character is constantly working towards, such as "cut down rainforest" or "explore grey zone" or "build a beaver village".
Icon:
The last thing that to do is to draw your character. For purposes in the Realm, the icon should be drawn in microsoft paint, and be smaller than 22x27 (see first sample). Below the sample are some other examples of creatures and peoples of the Realm, and your character can be of one of their types or it can be a kind of its own. Lee or Josh will let you know if they feel that any changes should be made to the icon before the character can enter play.

So if you have worked out those 5 things and you'd like to get started, go ahead and post your information and attach your icon here if you are a member of Hephnet. (Otherwise email LeeoftheRealm@gmail.com)
I would also recommend that you look through the history and places, as well as the raw text files to get a better idea of what is going on in the game and to help you think of new goals.
